The rapid advancement of digital technologies in recent decades has transformed the landscape of English Language Teaching (ELT), particularly in the domain of listening instruction. Among the vast array of available platforms, YouTube has emerged as a powerful educational tool, offering access to authentic, diverse, and engaging listening materials. However, despite its widespread use in informal learning, the systematic integration of YouTube into formal listening pedagogy—especially within the Indonesian university context—remains underexplored, under-theorized, and insufficiently evaluated. This monograph responds to that gap by presenting a comprehensive inquiry into the development, implementation, and validation of YouTube-based listening instructional materials for tertiary-level English learners.
