Abstract

Songs are one of the popular media in teaching English. Songs have several advantages in the learning process, including engaging emotions and attraction, helping to enrich vocabulary, improving fluency, and fun. Therefore, the use of songs in English language teaching is highly recommended.
There are several things that can be done to teach English using songs. First, we can choose a song that suits the student's abilities and interests. The song chosen should have a meaning that is easy to understand and does not contain too much difficult vocabulary. Second, we can create activities related to the selected song, such as filling in blank lyrics, looking up difficult words in the dictionary, or making speeches short based on song lyrics. Third, we can add questions related to the song to increase students' understanding of the meaning of the song.
